Muscle of the Week: Infraspinatus

The infraspinatus is one of the four rotator cuff muscles and plays an important role in external rotation and shoulder stability.

It helps control the head of the humerus during movement and supports the shoulder during reaching, lifting, and overhead activity. Because of its role in shoulder mechanics, it is often involved in common shoulder pain and movement restrictions.
