Third Generation Barber & Style Shop

I wanted to thank everyone for your support over the last few weeks. I appreciate so much everyone who has scheduled appointments with me. I know for some they would rather just walk in like before but with me being the main barber most days, it just works out better with appts. At least you know that you won't have to wait for a hour or more when you come now. Your support in this change has been amazing and I am very grateful. If you need my number to call for appt please pm me and I will give it to you. The salon does have a number but for me it's just easier to call or text me. I've had some people that weren't happy about appts and chose not to stay with me and I understand it's not for everyone and I will miss those customers. Thank you all! Michele Branch

I wanted to post one more time that the barber shop is now called Golden Hour Salon. Sara Vaughn is the new owner but I (Michele Branch) is still there. I'm taking appts now since I am the main barber. My sister is there on Wednesday. I am there on Tues, Wed, Fri and Saturday. I went to appointments because I know waiting a long time for a haircut is hard. The appointments are working out really well. I know some people prefer walking in but appts just work out better, and you won't have to wait for me to get through several haircuts. 211 Nelson St in Kernersville has been the home of Third Generation Barber Shop for 38 years. My parents owned this piece of so many peoples hearts in this town. Today was the final day of business. To say that I am overwhelmed with so many emotions would be an understatement. There are so many memories at this place. So many people in my family’s life because of this place. So many times I would just stop by “the shop” just to hang out. Tonight my entire family and some friends helped empty the shop. It was bittersweet for sure. I’m so proud. I’m so thankful. I’m so excited for the next owner. “Loss” is only a loss if your forget everything it helped you gain. Thank you to every single one of you that ever stepped foot across that threshold. You are the reason we gained so much. ❤️

Hey everyone, just a reminder that Thursday will be the last day of the shop being open until May 13th when our new awesome owner Sara Vaughn takes ownership. We are truly excited about this new adventure and we hope you will share in our excitement. Michele Branch will be still be there as the barber on Tues, Wed, Friday and Saturday. Sharing again in case anybody missed it. Michele will be at the shop Tues, Wed, Friday and Sat. Melanie will be there on Wednesday. April 17th will be the last day of Third Generation. Renovations will begin on April 18th and we will reopen on May 13th. We appreciate your loyalty to us all these years and hope you will continue to come see us. It's going to be exciting and the the owner is an awesome lady that we know you will love as well.

We have had some people asking if the shop when it changes over will be doing nails and the answer is No. If you have any questions please ask us and we will be happy to answer them. Thank you all!!!

We have a big announcement to make: after 38 years of ownership, the shop is being sold, but Michele Branch will still be at the shop on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Melanie will be here on Wednesdays. We will be closed for three weeks for some remodeling, so please make note of those dates. We appreciate you all more than you know and hope you will continue to come to us. Also, three girls will be here as well, and they can also take care of you. It's going to be an exciting new adventure, and we hope you will take part in it.
