What is Microblading you ask?
Microblading is a method of adding pigment in hair-like strokes in the dermis to create the look of fuller brows. This form of tattooing is the newest trend. The natural-looking results are achieved with a sharp, hand-held blade made up of 7 or more micro-needles. Microblading actually looks like hair. Your new brows will last anywhere from 1-3 years after your second session. This is a 2 step process. There is also Microshading, Microshading makes your brows look like there is filler or powder in your brows. Both are a great service. You'll want to talk to your technician to see what is best for you

Benefits for you. Why get it done?

1. Reduce the amount of time necessary to get ready in the morning.
As every professional woman knows, you have to wake up every morning and “put on your face.” Since Microblading is semi-permanent you won’t need to waste time filling in your brows to have them look presentable. All women can benefit from the time saved thanks to microblading

2. Gives those with skin diseases like alopecia or hair loss due to chemo a natural looking brow. Microblading will benefit anyone who is experiencing hair loss or a lack of hair growth in the brows.

3. Does not smudge or smear off, even with exercise for those with an active lifestyle. Without having to add any makeup, clients can enjoy any physical activity without the worry of losing the look of their brows. Regular brow makeup wouldn’t make it through a hot yoga session or laps in the pool.

4. Sessions only take 1 ½ -2 hours.
Imagine--most spend at least 2 + minutes every day on creating their brows. Think of the time saved.

5.Virtually painless
When you come in for your session the first thing we do is apply your first numbing cream. This cream makes the process virtually pain-free. After we start the procedure a second numbing agent is applied. This way we can ensure you should maybe only feel a slight tweezing sensation as the pigment is added to the skin.

6. Lasts 1-3 years
Microblading lasts 1-3 years based on environmental factors like sun exposure, your skins health and condition. It’s not permanent, but semi-permanent. It allows you to change the shape of the brow with new trends since it only lasts 1-3 years.

7. Pigment does not change color, only loses saturation. The pigments used in microblading are all organic and specifically made so that they do not change color. They will slowly lose saturation or fade over time, cueing you to come in for a touch-up session!

8. It’s very safe.
Microblading is very safe in the hands of a professional microblading artist. It is minimally invasive and has very little down time. Some may experience soreness after the service, but only temporarily.

If you have questions or wonder if the service is right for you, call us. One of our educated staff will be able to answer any of your questions.

Microblading Myth:
Pre-numbing makes the skin texture different and impairs the successful outcome of your eyebrow microblading procedure.

This is by far the worst myth, it is totally not true. At Elite Brow Company we use 2 types of anesthetic. We want you to have beautiful brows that are practically painless. The only thing you may feel is an occasional tweezing sensation.

Microblading Myth - Aftercare
Use A&D ointment on eyebrows for healing. BAD
A&D ointment is very effective for tattoos on body. For eyebrows it is horrible for the pigment and color retention on microbladed eyebrow. Big no-no, unless you want your microbladed eyebrows to go away and never come back unless you do the procedure over and over with no lasting results.

Microblading -Myth

ANY SALON CAN OFFER MICROBLADING - NO
Only salons that have special certifications can offer microblading. In our state of Ohio it is regulated by the health department. Everything we use at Elite Brow Company is a single time use. Permanent makeup artists are overseen by individual state’s Boards of Health. They’re the only ones who can give out this certification. Despite how popular microblading is becoming, do not go to just any place to get it done.

Microblading Myth

MICROBLADING IS THE SAME AS A TATTOO
This is a yes but no

Microblading is the process of adding pigment to the dermis of your skin. Tattooing is the process of adding pigment to the dermis of your skin. Therefore it is the same as tattooing. Nope.

Microblading is a type of tattoo. However the pigment molecule size is different. Microblading isn’t done with the same machine as a tattoo (most times it is done by hand) and it doesn’t feel the same. It also doesn’t heal the same way a tattoo does.

So yep, microblading is a type of tattoo. Nope, microblading isn’t the same as a tattoo.

Myths about Microblading

MICROBLADING HURTS -
Myth microblading hurts and hurts a lot.
Not true.

Microblading is a form of tattooing, but it doesn’t feel like your standard tattoo. It doesn’t hurt. It doesn’t feel like a thousand bees stinging your eyebrows. It doesn’t feel like getting stung by a jellyfish on your face.

We at Elite Brow Company use two different forms of anesthetic. So you shouldn't feel anything at all. The most that you should feel it's maybe when someone is tweezing your eyebrows. Later that day your brows maybe a little sore and the next day most of my clients feel nothing at all other than looking in the mirror and feeling fabulous because their brows look amazing.
I will debunk more myths over the next few days. Being informed helps you make a better choice.
