Ocean Reef firefighter-medics will proudly recognize Autism Awareness Month this April by wearing special autism awareness T-shirts throughout the community.
This cause is especially meaningful to us. One of our own, Captain Kevin Hulse, has a daughter recently diagnosed with autism. Her name is Kallie, but she goes by the nickname “Kiwi” a name proudly featured on the shirts in her honor.♾️🧩💗

Traffic Update – Card Sound Road
Starting tomorrow, March 2, construction crews will set up a one-lane configuration at the Tubby Creek Bridge on Card Sound Road. Traffic will alternate and be managed by trailer-mounted signals. Expect some delays.
Please be patient over the first few days as signal timings are adjusted.

This week at the Ocean Reef Farmers Market, ORCA Firefighter-Medics hosted a pop-up CPR class for members and staff. Participants practiced life-saving skills for adults and infants—including CPR and choking response.
Our Fire Rescue division regularly hosts CPR courses—stay tuned for the next opportunity!
Just two years ago, it was just a vision.
Last Saturday, that vision came to life as community members—and plenty of wagging tails—gathered to celebrate the Grand Opening of the Grayvik Animal Center – Home of ORCAT.
Guests toured the beautiful new two-story facility, now actively caring for our dogs and cats, and honored the generosity of the members and partners who made it all possible. We’re happy to share that the ORCATs are settling into their new home nicely, and cat visits will resume soon. 🐾
Thank you to everyone who embraced this project and helped mark such an important milestone for our community.
