One of the biggest things I want my clients to understand about permanent makeup is that what you see on Day 1 is NOT your final result.
Right after a PMU treatment, the color can look darker, bolder, or more noticeable than you expected. That’s because the skin has just been treated and the pigment is much more visible.

Then the healing process begins. 🤎
Your skin may flake, the color may lighten or even seem like it disappeared in some areas, and then gradually the pigment begins to settle. The full healing process can take around 6 weeks. But everyone is different so it verys. Your final color should look softer and more natural than it did immediately after your appointment.

Your skin type, aftercare, lifestyle, and individual healing process can all play a part in your healed results—which is exactly why I tell my clients:
Don’t judge your PMU by Day 1. Trust the healing process. 🤍
This applies to brows, lip blush, faux freckles, or other permanent makeup, healed results are what really matter.

This is why I call it a freckle journey. 🤎

When she first came to Dermaprove Beauty, she already had cosmetic freckles, including a few heart-shaped freckles, but she had a different vision for how she wanted her freckles to look.
During her consultation, we talked about what she liked, looked at a few of her inspiration photos, and mapped out a fuller, bolder and more playful freckle pattern.
But I didn't try to create her final look all at once.
I started by establishing her base freckles and working with the existing heart details. After they healed, she came back and I added warmth. Then we let those heal and evaluated everything again.
And that's when she told me she wanted MORE.

🤎More freckles. More of both tones. And more coverage across her face.
So that's exactly what I customized for her.
One of my favorite things about this transformation is being able to show the difference between fresh and healed cosmetic freckles. Fresh freckles can look much darker and more defined immediately after treatment, but they soften as the skin heals.
Her result is intentionally bold because that's what she wanted.

💫Someone else's perfect freckle look might be a light sprinkle across the nose. Another person may want something in between. That's why I don't believe every client should leave with the same pattern.
Your freckles should look like YOUR freckles.

✨ Your results don't start at your appointment... they start before you even arrive.
One of the biggest factors in achieving beautiful healed brows is how well your skin is prepared beforehand.
For the 48 hours leading up to your appointment, I recommend avoiding things like caffeine, alcohol, intense exercise, excessive sun exposure, and certain medications or supplements (always speak with your doctor before stopping or adjusting any medication).
These simple steps can help reduce bleeding, improve pigment retention, and give your skin the best opportunity to heal beautifully.
Every client receives detailed pre-care instructions before their appointment because I want you to have the best experience—and the best possible results. 🤍
