DOES EQUINE MASSAGE BENEFIT YOUR HORSE ???
Yessss, It is a highly beneficial, non-invasive practice that manipulates soft tissues (muscles and fascia) to relieve muscle soreness, reduce stress, and improve overall flexibility
Key Benefits
Reduces Stress: Research shows that massage immediately reduces the stress hormone cortisol, lowers heart rates, and limits conflict behaviors in horses.
Improves Flexibility: By breaking down scar tissue and releasing tension, it helps increase stride length and range of motion.
Pain Relief: Relieves trigger points and muscle knots, reducing compensation patterns that can lead to lameness.
Quicker Recovery: Stimulates blood and lymphatic circulation to help clear lactic acid and heal tissues faster.

Sayler received a good massage and pemf therapy 🥰
Key Benefits of PEMF for Horses:
Healing & Repair:
Stimulates cellular regeneration, increases bone production, and boosts cartilage health.
Inflammation Reduction:
Reduces edema and decreases cytokines (markers of inflammation).
Pain Relief:
Acts as an analgesic to reduce pain and soreness from muscle strain.
Performance Enhancement:
Improves circulation, nutrient uptake, and flexibility, allowing horses to move more freely.

This week I had the pleasure to work with a couple horses . I love what I do and feel blessed to be able to make horses feel better .

The horse's body has approximately 700 muscles that work together in pairs, groups, and chains to control movement. The deep muscles are generally responsible for supporting and stabilizing joints, while the superficial muscles create power and gymnastic movement.

Trigger point
Equine trigger point sports massage therapy involves identifying and applying direct, sustained pressure (via thumbs, fingers, or elbows) to hyperirritable nodules in a horse’s muscle tissue to release tension and eliminate pain. This therapy enhances flexibility, range of motion, and circulation while reducing lactic acid buildup. It is commonly used for performance enhancement, injury recovery, and to address behavioral issues caused by pain.
Common Locations:
Trigger points often occur at the musculotendinous junctions (where muscle meets tendon) and areas subjected to high stress.
Causes: Trigger points develop due to overwork, inadequate warm-ups, lack of stretching, or fatigue.
Benefits:
Increased flexibility, improved posture, enhanced performance, and increased blood flow to muscles.
Signs of Release:
Indicators during the session include yawning, licking, chewing, and muscle twitches, indicating a reduction in tension.

Well said , that’s why I love working with horses .
There’s never any one way to do something or to get to the same result.
One way may be easier than another way, take less steps, take more or less time. It doesn’t mean that any one way is right and another is wrong.
If there’s something I’ve learned it is that the body is intricate, strong, delicate, resilient and so much more. Every body is different and how and when and what it chooses or feels safe to respond to, is up to the body.
We have the ability to help facilitate body healing with the items and tools God the ultimate Healer has given us, and we also have the ability to damage it too.
Life with horses doesn’t have to be a frantic panic and seeking.
Although, sometimes it can feel and seem that way in desperate times.
But, it doesn't have to be.
Sometimes seeking looks like sitting.
Healing feels quiet.
Rest looks like turning it all off for the time needed.
Wrapping up the year always has as nostalgic feeling for me as well as one of anticipation and excitement for the next year.
I love learning new things as well as new things about the old things. Stuff that challenges what I know, think I know or believe. So, I’ve been taking the time to do just that.
I can’t wait to share more details with you 🤎
