As this year comes to a close, I just want to pause and say thank you for an incredible 2025.

Yes, you are my clients, but you are also so much more than that. Over the last 15 years the people who have sat in my chair have trusted me not only with their hair but with their stories, their laughter, their tears, and the seasons of their lives. You’ve shared milestones, struggles and celebrations together.

This career has given me far more than a job. It has given me relationships that I hold so close to my heart. I am endlessly grateful for every appointment, every conversation, every loyal return, and every new face that became family along the way.

Merry Christmas from my family to yours. Thank you for all the love and support this year . I can’t wait to see you in the new year and continue creating beautiful moments together! ❤️

A week ago I got a call from a friend who works with a neighboring county emergency services. Through her job she had met two elderly sisters living together. Both has health problems but one has a very hard time even walking to her bathroom and can’t without a helping hand.
This sister, due to her health issues, hair was very long and had become extremely matted. Today I went there and got to meet these lovely woman who has a burning heart for God. I heard them tell stories of their childhood and struggles as a wife and mother in their earlier years.
Some how I was able to work out the mats and not have to do a pixie cut. And the other sister was able to get a cut that would be more manageable for her as well.
We prayed over them when we left. All these woman kept saying is we prayed that prayer for you too. They were more worried about us being blessed than them having basic things that you and I take for granted every single day.
After leaving I reached out to a friend and client about shampoo caps. Something that could help them keep their hair clean without having the chore of actually washing it in the shower. When she called me back she had found a site to purchase them and had already bought them.

I’m sharing this story for several reasons.
One because I’m so tired of just seeing the negativity everywhere you turn.
Two because I want it to be known that there are still huge caring hearts in the world. If my friend would have never cared enough this woman’s hair would be matted for who knows how long and causing her lots of discomfort including her headaches she was experiencing. The friend who bought the caps didn’t have to do that but she wanted to. Lots of good still in the world and I want to share my space with that and you should surround yourself with that as well. If you don’t like the negativity your the only one that can remove yourself from it.
Three and this is a hard one to admit but it’s true. When I got the call I felt bad for them but did I want to pull myself away from my family for several hours on a sunny Saturday to go cut hair. Not particularly. But I’m so glad I did. These ladies today blessed me more than I could ever bless them. Do the kind deed. Do the nice gesture. You will be blessed ten fold. Not by money or materials. But by something worth so much more!
