✨🖤 FIVE YEARS WITH MY WORK WIFE 🖤✨

What kind of work wife & best friend, would I be if I didn’t make a ridiculously sappy post for our 5 YEAR ANNIVERSARY working together?!
And more importantly… I really hope I get this posted before Makayla posts hers because I KNOW she was probably expecting me to be the bad work wife. NOT TODAY, SISTA. I CAME PREPARED.

Five whole years of working side by side. Five years of salon madness, laughing until we cry, probably wanting to fight each other a few times, knowing way too much about each other’s lives, being each other’s therapists, hype women, sounding boards, and somehow still choosing to show up and do it all over again the next day.
Makayla is the dark to my sunshine. 🖤☀️
She’s my scary girl, and I’m the one hiding under the covers asking if it’s gone yet. And somehow it just WORKS. She is insanely talented, loyal, hilarious, creative, and genuinely one of the best people I have ever been lucky enough to have in my life.

Fun fact: we actually met YEARS before we ever became us. I was more her sister’s friend than hers back then… AND NOW LOOK AT US, basically attached at the salon hip…
And she definitely loves me more than her twin now. 🫣 JUST KIDDING.…unless? 👀

But seriously, Makayla, I am so damn grateful you came into my life and even more grateful that five years later, I still get to work beside my best friend. Watching us grow individually, together, and in this crazy salon life has been one of my favorite things.
There are very few people you can spend THIS MUCH TIME WITH and somehow still voluntarily talk to outside of work. That alone says something.
