Today, something happened that reminded me exactly why I became a nail tech. 🤍

A bride walked into the studio today feeling completely defeated. She’s getting married this weekend and had just gotten her nails done somewhere else, but they looked nothing like the wedding nails she had dreamed of. She had already gone to multiple places trying to find someone who could help her, only to be turned away.

By the time she came to me, she felt hopeless.

And I just couldn’t let a bride walk into her wedding weekend feeling that way. So, even though it was last minute, I took her in and made sure she left with the wedding nails she had pictured all along. 💍😭

It reminded me that what we do as nail techs is about so much more than polish, designs, or pretty nails.

For so many women, getting their nails done is one of the few things they do just for themselves. It can make you feel confident, put together, beautiful… and sometimes, during the hardest or busiest seasons of life, it’s that little piece of normalcy that makes you feel like you again.

Today, I didn’t just get to fix someone’s nails. I got to take a little bit of stress off a bride’s shoulders and help her feel beautiful and excited again before one of the biggest days of her life.

And THAT is why I love what I do. 🥹🤍

Sometimes it really is so much more than nails.
