When Goldenrod Appears, We Know the Season Is Turning

There is something about this time of year that makes me want to slow down.

The nights are cooler. The days feel a little quieter. The garden is beginning to shift, and the goldenrod has made its appearance.

There is an old Farmer’s Almanac saying that once goldenrod arrives, the first frost is about six weeks away. Whether or not you take that timing literally, I love the reminder: summer is beginning its gentle transition.

The Season of Earth

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, this late-summer transition belongs to the Earth element.

Earth is associated with nourishment, grounding, digestion, stability, and the ability to receive what we need. It is the energy of gathering ourselves after the outward, expansive energy of summer.

And I think that is part of why I love these slower days so much.

They invite us to come back to ourselves.

To eat something nourishing.
To spend a little more time outside.
To rest when we need to.
To take care of the body that carries us through everything else.

It's a beautiful time of year to receive a little care, too.

Behind the scenes, I'm also spending some time looking closely at our treatment menu.

As Spa Lindita continues to grow, I'm refining our offerings for the season ahead—making room for the treatments that are truly loved, letting go of the ones that no longer fit, and continuing to shape the experience I want Spa Lindita to be.

I'll be sharing more about those changes as we get closer to **September 1**.

Rayme is beginning her career as an esthetician, and I’ve loved having the opportunity to mentor her as she grows. One of the things I’m most passionate about is helping cultivate the next generation of estheticians, and I’m so happy to have her joining us.

Our **Strawberry Seasonal Facial** is here through **August 31**.

If you've been meaning to try this sweet summer treatment, now is the time. Once September arrives, we'll be saying goodbye to strawberry and welcoming our next seasonal treatment. 🥚 Fresh From Lindita’s Backyard

A little something extra is available at the studio right now: **farm-fresh eggs from Lindita’s chickens!**

We have six happy hens who spend their days free-ranging around the property, along with being fed organic feed. Their eggs are gathered fresh and left **unwashed**, which helps preserve their natural protective coating and allows for a longer shelf life when properly refrigerated.

They’re available while we have them—just another little piece of the Spa Lindita lifestyle. 🤍

We’re so happy to officially welcome Rayme to the Spa Lindita team. 💜

Rayme is at the beginning of her career as an esthetician, and it has been such a joy to watch her step into this next chapter. She brings a gentle presence, a genuine love for skincare, and a beautiful willingness to learn.

As an esthetician and educator, one of the things I love most is mentoring the next generation of estheticians. I believe there is something really special about helping grow their skills, confidence, and own unique way of caring for their clients.

Rayme has been training with me and continuing her education with Eminence Organic Skin Care as she develops her own approach to holistic skincare. I’m excited to see where this journey takes her.
