Chris and I were out last night picking up some things, and we truly thought it would be worse than it was and were terrified to do it... but everyone was cordial and nice, returned mine and Emma's "Merry Christmas". Except one lady while we were at the electronics counter 🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ huffing and puffing, rolling her eyes, and then cutting the line to ask the clerk if someone else could come help her. 😅 Chiiiiile, wait ur turn... in fact, my teachers always sent us to the BACK of the line when we did mess like that, did u not have the same teachers as I? 😅🤣😂😅🤣😅😂😅 Aaaanyways. Y'all have fun and be SAFE.

Had the pleasure of making up this beautiful, wonderful, sweet, gracious young woman today, who just got engaged!!!!!! Today is her anniversary with her now fiance, and I'm so happy she feels confident for their dinner date!

So often, us mommas r behind the lens. We find every excuse not to be in a picture cuz our post baby bodies.. I didn't want to post this picture. I'm in my wheelchair, I haven't lost my baby weight, ALL the pudge... 🤦‍♀️😔 So many reasons y I didn't want to share it.
But u know what? I was having an absolute blast when took this picture. I was playing with my daughter, she was giggling up a storm, my incredible husband was pushing us so I could participate in EmmaLynn's first bike lesson. My mind and heart were anywhere but focused on how my body looked at the time. Then, when my mother-in-law sent me this picture, instead of looking at it and seeing how happy we look, the joy in my daughter's face, the way Chris is looking at both of us like we r his entire world.... instead of seeing those things, I thought about my stomach rolls and the fact that I was in my chair and not wearing a prosthetic and a multitude of other critiques about myself.
You know what?? Of COURSE my body has changed!!! I grew a whole human, had her cut out of me, and fought cancer directly after. Of COURSE it looks different. Of COURSE I have stretch marks and dimples, and cellulite, and varicose veins, and ALL the mom things. Of course I'm different....
So take the picture. Share the picture. Post the picture. You're a badass human.... you're a mom.

Absolutely loved working on this 🔟 of a young woman! I had the pleasure of teaching her at North Lenoir, and watching her grow has been such an absolute pleasure. Thank you Hannah for letting me add to your natural beauty!
