Years ago, back when I was assisting in California, this beautiful soul sat in my bestie’s chair while I was behind the scenes. Fast forward to now… life brought her to my area, she found me on Instagram, and sent in an inquiry saying she remembered me from back then and wanted me to do her hair. 🥺

She was ready for soft bronde dimension and to be lighter & brighter ✨ But this appointment was so much more than just hair. It felt like a little piece of home. We spent the time catching up, reminiscing about the Bay Area, and sharing where life has taken us.

It’s wild to think about how far things have come—from assisting and watching, to standing behind my own chair creating hair that reflects my guests inner beauty 🫶🏻

My guest was looking to keep her dimension soft and subtle, with a warmer honey tone woven throughout for that effortless glow. We focused on creating a look that feels natural, blended, and low-maintenance—perfect for her lifestyle.

This gorgeous guest was suuuper blonde and wanted to move toward a lower-maintenance, more dimensional look. So first, we low-lighted to add depth and darken things up 🎨. At her next appointment, we used that darkness to our advantage—lightening while keeping contrast—to create this dreamy, dimensional bronde ✨🤎

Raise your hand if you’re already missing the sun 🙋🏻‍♀️ As a former Cali girl, I’m bracing for the gloomy days—not just because I need sunshine, but because it makes getting good hair content so much harder 🤣 Thankfully I made the most of the last sunny days and stocked up on photos to get me through the next few months 😆

Now, let’s talk about this beauty! She came in back in September wanting to brighten her blonde and freshen everything up. In my chair, the goal is always blendy, low-maintenance, and beautiful—and that’s exactly what we did.

This beauty has so much hair, so adding layers was key for movement and to take out some bulk ✨ Her natural color is absolutely stunning — we just shaped it up to let it shine even more 🤍

When it’s been a minute since your last haircut, sometimes a bigger chop is exactly what your hair needs ✂️💆🏻‍♀️ We took off quite a bit to bring back the health and add that fullness through the ends.

She was also wanting to freshen up her color and lean a little more into those copper vibes, but wasn’t quite sure how bold she wanted to go. So we landed on this cinnamon spice and everything nice shade 🍂✨ I used teasylights for a soft, blended lift and added lowlights through the hair left out to darken things up and create that beautiful dimension 😍
