Pro tip for anyone getting PMU (permanent makeup):
📌 Ask to see the pigment bottle — yes, really.
📌 It should have a clear “opened on” date sticker.
📌 If it’s past its shelf life? That pigment should be in the trash, not anywhere near your skin.
Using expired pigment isn’t just unprofessional — it can be unsafe. Bacteria can grow in opened bottles that sit too long, and that puts your skin at risk for irritation, poor healing, or worse.
A clean, safe setup is the bare minimum in this industry — not a bonus. 💯
Your artist should be proud to show you their products and hygiene practices. If they get defensive, that’s your red flag. 🚩
