When a friends lets you know she’s looking for a special Madonna for her altar space, and you find a very special chalkware Mary in a Victorian shadow box… well of course, you grab it!

Someone recently asked if I had an obsession with Catholicism- no, but I do have a fascination with our need for saints, icons, myths and believing that there is more to this universe than just us. To me, faith comes in many forms. If pressed, I’m not sure I can fully define what I believe in- or where my faith lies. It shifts and waivers from time to time. My religious upbringing and experiences have definitely influenced who I am today. What I do believe is that there are mysteries I’ll never fully understand and I’ll always try to respect everyone’s beliefs as long as it’s based in love for one another and respect for everyone.

I’ve been sewing patches on my clothing since I was a kid and never stopped! I’m for years I sold denim jackets with patches- back in my Re’Enhabit days. I decided to revisit slow fashion and making again- using the scraps of fabric (I have a huge bin)

It’s funny, doing them for myself is one thing but trying to do them for someone else is another. I am second-guessing and overthinking but also enjoying the heck out of this slow, thoughtful and random project.

I’m working on getting more denim in all sizes and we’ll see where it goes. I may test the market elsewhere first. Let me know what you think!

It’s hard to do things in a vacuum and I love hearing feedback.

Sure it’s a bit rainy- a little misty but it’s also a good day to visit your local small businesses! No crowds- easy, cozy and you can explore at leisure.
