Here’s how it works:

→ Start with a low percentage of BPO (5% or less)
→ Apply a thin layer to the acne-prone area
→ Leave it on for a short, predetermined amount of time (start with 15-30 minutes)
→ Rinse it completely off
→ Slowly increase how long it stays on the skin as your skin adjusts
→ Then gradually increase frequency of use based on your skin’s tolerance. Eventually you can even sleep in BPO once your skin has adjusted

Jumping straight into frequent or prolonged use and using too high of a percentage can leave you with:

→ Dryness
→ Burning
→ Stinging
→ Redness
→ A compromised skin barrier
