When I first found out about clean beauty, I pretty much lived in denial. It can’t matter that much, right?! If it’s on the shelf, it’s been tested for human safety, and there’s nothing to worry about…right??

Unfortunately, that’s not the case.

Did you know that over 80,000 chemicals are used in personal care products? And over 80% of them haven’t been tested for human safety? No, that’s not a typo.

In 2017, I learned that the US only bans 30 ingredients from personal care products. For context, the EU bans 1,400.

Once you learn something like that, you can’t just sit back. You do something about it. So that’s why I’m here. Why I made this page. Why I linked arms with brands I believe are doing better, creating change, and offering products that exceed your expectations of what clean means.

but it sure was lovely to have some *unmasked* quality time with our friends + family this weekend. we went from birthday celebrations to a wedding shower to a member guest golf tournament. ended the weekend with in-person church (YAY) and donuts. my heart is full, but dang, I’m ready for bed.

Why can’t we do better?
