Microcurrent is one of the tools I love incorporating into facial work. 💗

Using a very low-level electrical current, it works with the muscles of the face to support tone, lift and definition—while complementing the massage and connective tissue work I already do.

I think of it less as changing the face and more as working intentionally with what’s already there.

I’ve been thinking about how I talk about my work—and how easy it can be to minimize the value of simply being cared for.

I receive services regularly, too. As someone who spends a lot of time caring for others, I’ve learned that receiving care is a practice in itself. 🫣🥺🙂😌

To be still. To let someone else hold the space. To receive without needing to do anything in return….

And that care doesn’t end when the service does. The calm we receive reverberates outward—into our day, our relationships, and our experience of the everyday.

Receiving care matters. 🤍🖤

Harvest. 🧡 🌼

The end of a season is a beautiful time to step back and notice what grew—and what didn’t.

My strawflowers never showed up, even though I did everything “right.”
And my zinnias are still standing tall. 🤷‍♀️💜

Some things flourish. Some don’t. Both have something to show us.

A little reintroduction. 🤍

I’m Karla, the woman behind Attune by Ojas.

My path here hasn’t exactly been a straight one. I spent more than 20 years in nursing before finding my way into esthetics, facial massage, Reiki, Biofield Tuning and the work I do now.

And somewhere along the way, my ideas about skin—and life—started changing too.

There was a time when I was pretty rigid about skin care. I learned things, formed opinions around them, and sometimes turned those opinions into hard beliefs.

I’ve softened a lot. 🦋

I’ve realized I don’t want to live a rigid life. I want to stay curious, experience things deeply, try new things and be allowed to love them—or decide they’re not for me. I want to change my mind when something I learn or experience asks me to.

I don’t need to have an opinion on everything. And I don’t want to defend an old version of myself simply because I once said something out loud.

I’m softening into my life. 🫧

And my work has been doing the same.

What began with skin has expanded into touch, connective tissue, energy, sound and creating more movement and space within ourselves.

I’m doing work I genuinely love. Work that isn’t about fixing you or turning you into something else.

It’s about helping you feel more at home in yourself. 🫶🏽

More open. More alive.
More you.
