TrapTox is everywhere right now. Before you book it, here's what the clinical data actually says, and the questions I'd want you to ask any provider before they pick up a needle.

TrapTox involves injecting a neuromodulator into the trapezius muscle to relax and slim the upper trap, creating the appearance of a longer neck. Many people also seek it for genuine tension relief, and that functional case is real.

Here's where I want to be honest with you.

This is an off-label application. That doesn't automatically make it unsafe. Many off-label uses are well-supported by clinical experience and anatomical logic. But the long-term data is still evolving, and the dosing requirements are significantly higher than a standard facial treatment. We're talking about a large muscle group.

My standard is this: I don't offer treatments I can't stand behind with both clinical evidence and personal conviction. For TrapTox, I think the functional case is more compelling than the purely cosmetic one, and patient selection matters enormously. It's not a one-size-fits-all treatment, and anyone telling you otherwise is skipping a step.

If you're curious, ask your provider these three questions before you commit: What dosing protocol do you use? How do you assess candidacy? What are the risks specific to this injection site? Their answers will tell you everything.

No tea. No shade. Just standards.

There are a few treatments in aesthetics that I personally choose not to offer or receive, and it comes down to predictability and long-term tissue health.

❌ Lifting threads can look impressive in the short term, but placement and plane matter deeply, and I’ve seen enough variability to know they’re not for me.
❌ Sculptra can be beautiful in the right candidate, but collagen-stimulating injectables require thoughtful timing and long-term planning. In my 30s, it’s not something I’m reaching for.
❌ And when it comes to injecting the hyaluronic acid component of PDGF systems, if a product is designed to be topical, I’m going to respect that.

Aesthetics should be strategic, not trendy.

That’s just my approach.
