Sometimes a client walks in and has multiple joints that have been replaced and will present with fear and compensation.
👉Clients with hip and knee replacements require special attention to balance and postural awareness.
🧠Sometimes the best thing is to start with a little brain and pain management training.🧠

👉Compensations are quick to form engrained neural pathways that can lead into future movement dysfunction and injury.
👉Our brainstem is our major sensory, motor, pain, and autonomic regulatory center for the body.
👉When we train clients in gravity with complex movements, focus on repetition and visual auditory feedback; we help create an ideal environment for motor learning, plasticity, and pain management. 💯🔥
👉Remember think about basic foundations like balance and compensated movement patterns. Sometimes lack of use, fear, and compensation will create the pain.

Do you have one side of your ribcage that sticks out more than the other?

🔥If this is on you left side you might be right motor dominate or have a right to left rotational bias in your ribcage.
🔥This is a presentation that I commonly see with right thoracic scoliosis and right motor dominate clients.
🔥This condition can come from a deviation of the head on neck, pelvic rotation and leg length discrepancy.
🔥Try this great technique with our PKT 🔵Neuro band. This will help you release the diaphragm and strengthen the contra lateral side. 💪

🙌Technique Tuesday🙌
This rotator cuff mobilizer and strengthening technique is useful for clients presenting with tight pecs and shoulders and even can be used with frozen shoulders.This technique will strengthen the rotator cuff as it:
👉It creates more range of motion.
👉The traction helps distract the shoulder as it increases ROM while strengthening the rotator cuff.
👉Start with about 10 pounds and work into heavier weight as shoulder improves.
👉Do 2-3 sets of 10-12 circles in both directions.

Can you guess the veggies?🧐 Scroll through the veggies and see how many you can name. Then read about what they are and there nutrient values.

We are finally able to see our home garden beginning to produce some vegetables! So exciting!🙌

👉cucumbers 🥒are very high in nutrients and low in calories. They are also 96% water and help with hydration, plus the have antioxidants. 👉cherry tomatoes 🍅 are an excellent source of: vitamin C, vitamin A, vitamin E,potassium, and are full of lycopene.
👉red basil 🌿 aids digestion and promotes a healthy gut. It also cleanses the skin from the inside out.
👉kale 🥬 is rich in lutein and zeaxanthin, that support the health of our eyes and vision. This super food is rich in iron, vitamin K 1 and 2, and according to cardiologist Joel Kahn it’s been shown to protect against osteoporosis, cancer, and diabetes. It also supports you immune system.
👉squash is high in fiber, and good for balancing blood sugar. It also has cancer-fighting compounds.
👉 Eggplants 🍆 are rich in natural chemicals called phytonutrients, which have been known to improve mental health. They also are high in vitamins and minerals, fiber, calcium,and iron.
👉 beets are particularly rich in folate, a vitamin that plays a key role in growth, development, and heart health. Several studies suggest that dietary nitrates like those found in beets may enhance athletic performance. They can also improve brain function by promoting the dilation of blood vessels thus increasing blood flow to the brain.
👉carrots 🥕are good for your eyes. They are rich in beta-cerotene which protects your eyes from the sun and lowers your chances of cataracts and macular degeneration.

Here is one of my favorite all in 1 techniques for strengthening/lengthening the quads, hip flexors, and core.💪💯
👉if your experience pain in the knees or have knee replacements start with basic bridge progressions
👉once your able to do the modification with the bridges start with kneeling lean back planks.
👉use knee pad under knees for comfort and try to do these with toes pointed. As you lean back try to keep your head,hips, shoulders, and knees in the same line on the lean back. Make sure not to go too far to where you lose control or break the movement at the hips.
👉 these two techniques can be used in combination to help relieve long periods of sitting or standing and to reestablish strength and mobility in the hips and spine while improving posture.

🙌Manual therapy and Mobility Monday’s 🙌
Dive into this week with this hip and spine and neurologic strengthening/stabilization technique with Susie McCamy.
👉This mobilizer will leave you loose and feeling great
👉 try to pick a spot on the wall and focus as you reach for it. This should be hard, but attainable.
👉try 2 x 8 to 10 reps
