As many of you know, I recently shared that I will be undergoing surgery on July 14 and taking a temporary leave from the salon while I recover.

I know appointment cancellations can be disappointing and inconvenient, and I want to sincerely thank each of you for your patience, understanding, and support during this unexpected season. The kindness, messages, prayers, blessings and encouragement I have already received mean more than I can put into words.

At this time, my focus is on surgery, recovery, and receiving final pathology results so that I can make informed decisions about my return timeline. While we are hopeful for an approximately 8-week recovery, my official return date will be determined after surgery and in consultation with my medical team.

The salon will remain open, and Jen will continue serving her clients as usual.

Thank you for allowing me the time and space to prioritize my health. I look forward to keeping you updated and being back behind the chair as soon as I am able.

To my valued clients and friends,

I wanted to share a personal update with you. Recently, my doctors found a large mass in my breast that will require surgical removal and recovery in the coming weeks. While this was unexpected, my medical team is optimistic, and I am approaching the road ahead with faith and gratitude.

Beginning July 10, I will be stepping away from the salon to begin this procedure and focus on recovery. At this time, I expect to be out for a minimum of eight weeks. Because my treatment plan will continue to evolve as I move through surgery and recovery, I do not yet have a firm return date.

As a result, my appointment book will be closed for most of the summer. Once I have a better understanding of my treatment/recovery timeline, I will share updates and announce when appointments can be scheduled again. (I anticipate an update by early August).

If you currently have an appointment scheduled with me throughout my leave, you will be contacted about cancellation (or you may also let me know here that you saw this). If you are booked out, your appointments after mid September will still be standing, and I will see you when I return! You are welcome to use the online portal and book your fall appointments as well.

Jen will continue serving her clients during this time and will have limited availability to accommodate some of my clients as her schedule allows. You can find her schedule on the online portal to book with her during my leave.

I am incredibly grateful for the love, support, loyalty, and friendship so many of you have shown me over all of these years. I look forward to returning to the salon and seeing all of your familiar faces again as soon as I am able.

Today was our last day with Sarah, Nathan and Bradlee. What an incredible year it has been with our Life Skills students at the salon! Watching each of you grow in confidence, participation, teamwork, and hard work has been such a joy. Every smile, every accomplishment, and every moment spent learning together made this year truly special.

Thank you for your dedication, positive attitudes, and for bringing so much light and energy into our salon each week. We are so proud of everything you’ve accomplished and cannot wait to see all the amazing things ahead for you.

Today Nathan gets his degree and moves on to the next chapter of his journey. SO proud of you Nathan! Bradlee and Sarah will return in the fall along with some new faces 🥰.

As we step into 2026 I want to share a small update with transparency and care. Due to rising costs across the board, I’ll be making a modest price adjustment to services beginning 1/5/26.

This wasn’t an easy decision, especially knowing how much we’re all feeling the current financial climate. My commitment to quality, care, and creating a space where you feel seen and taken care of remains exactly the same.
