So much has changed in the 🔟 years between these photos. Two weight loss surgeries 🙋🏽‍♀️, two promotions (CPT to MAJ and MAJ to LTC), a retirement 🙋🏽‍♀️, divorce, near death health complications🙋🏽‍♀️, coparenting, forgiveness, and reconciliation. I would not change our love story for anything in this 🌍. Like the pink muhly grass of South Korea, which is invasive and needs careful regulation, our relationship requires attention, boundaries, and intentional growth. Just as the government monitors where the grass is planted and allowed to bloom, we are ever mindful of the foundations we’re building and nurturing in our relationship. Both the grass and the relationship have the potential to thrive, but only when carefully cultivated in the right environment. Without that care, it could spread uncontrollably, perhaps in ways that aren’t healthy. By thoughtfully deciding where and how things grow, we create space for beauty, balance, and harmony, ensuring that everything blooms in a way that benefits both the relationship and the environment around it.
