Chatty Kathi's Hair Salon

7 years!!!!! 7 years of this little dream of mine working! I could not have done it without the support ( mentally, physically and sometimes financially) of my sweet hubby Steven Blanchard and our 2 crazy boys Max and Remy. The countless clients who became friends keeping me working.What was once only a what if is still a reality. Surviving major road construction closing the main access to the salon ( for 4 long months), the building being sold to New owners, and a world wide epidemic which saw the salon closed by the state for 9 months....all in the first 11 months of being open. We have done it! Just signed a new lease for the next 2 years.... everything is working out. Thank you to everyone who has helped along the journey by being clients, referring new clients, letting me ramble on and on. I APPRECIATE EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU! 7 YEARS! To the few people who said I would fail in the first 6 months, thank you for lighting that fire of success under me.

Tonight at Trinity Lutheran Church there is the Logan/Northside neighborhood association meeting at 6:00. This meeting will be discussing the possible closures of the North Branch library and also the Northside pool. I'm asking if you are available please attend and voice your opinions on why closing these two community resources would be detrimental to the Northside. We as a community can use our voices to let the city council know that they work for us. There has to be a better place to "save" money. Thanks for reading this.

6 years.....wow, thank you to friends and family who believed that I had what it takes to open my own salon. Thank you to my biggest cheerleader Steven Blanchard who puts in the extra effort needed to help my dream become a reality. Teamwork really does make the dream work. Thank you to Jodi Vogel for joining us for the short time you were able to and Sarah R Kerska for sticking to this adventure. Thanks to my office "managers and maintenance" Maximus and Re*****on for helping when I need you to reach things up high or down low. Thank you to the clients who have become friends, your trust in my abilities means soo much to me. But mostly thank you to the nay sayers who said I didn't know what it would take to have my own salon, that I would fail, that I just wasn't good enough.... because YOU lit the fire in my belly that makes me want to prove you wrong.....and I AM CRUSHING IT!!!!!
