Here is a fun experiment I did on myself. Recently I needed to pour some concrete for a home project. If you’ve done this before you may know that it gets everywhere and can be very drying to your skin. This is because it is highly alkaline, like gnarlier than bleach with a ph around 13. We want our ph to balance back down to around 4.5, so here’s what I did. I washed my body and hair with a salicylic acid shampoo and did a lactic and mandelic acid peel from on my face which produced no burning or tingling. I had no dryness issues that evening or the next day. Sometimes construction problems call for esthetician solutions.
