I've been a barber for going on 27 years now.
I used to go to my Dad's barbershop when I was a kid and watch him cut hair. He was the one who inspired me to go to school and get my license and eventually work with him for 20 years. Barbering has been both a career and an enjoyment for me for many reasons. The satisfaction of giving a great haircut to the clients and friends I've made over the years and also working side by side with my father. The tradition will continue here at the Boulevard Barber & Shave.

Saw a Client today who didn't know that I bought this shop from Kristy over a year ago.

Dear Friends!
We are open, you can make your appointment on line with our new system, and even set up reoccurring visits. Still no shaves but we are being safe and here to serve!

The state’s Department of Public Health said California’s plan “evolved with the science and understanding of COVID-19.” Hair salons are allowed to open indoors with modifications. We will have no more than four people in the shop. We still can't do shaves, masks are required!

Important Announcement!
Kristy Allenson, owner of Boulevard Barber and Shave has announced that she will be retiring Friday, November 13th. Kristy, a fixture on La Mesa Boulevard for the past 7 years, began her barbering career 30 years ago working along side her dad in the family barber shop. A long time La Mesa resident, Kristy and her husband Mick, will be moving to Prescott Arizona.
Do not fret! Boulevard Barber and Shave will be left in the capable hands of Azaleah Ashmore, Kristy’s lead barber for the past two years. Azaleah, who has been in the field for over 20 years, is taking over the business and will be providing the same outstanding customer service that everyone has grown to expect.
Please come visit the shop and wish Kristy a fond farewell and welcome Azaleah to her new role as a La Mesa Village business owner.
