Sometimes, a spray tan is about so much more than being tan. 🤍

I’ve had the privilege of spray tanning sweet Aileen for about a year now. Aileen has albinism, and when she first came to me, our goal was never to make her dark. It was simply to give her a soft, natural-looking touch of color that still felt like her.

And we’ve worked for it! We’ve tried different solutions, experimented with custom mixes, adjusted rinse times, and tweaked little things along the way until we found her perfect glow—the right amount of warmth and color while still looking completely natural.

But somewhere along the way, Aileen became so much more than a client. 💕 She calls me when she has good news, tells me what’s happening at school, and I get just as excited as she does when she comes to show me her dresses for homecoming and other special moments in her life. I’ve also gotten to know her sweet mom, and these two have become very special to me.

This is one of the reasons I love what I do.

Spray tanning isn’t always about being super dark or looking like you just spent a week at the beach. Sometimes it’s about creating the softest little glow. Sometimes it’s about confidence. And sometimes, if you’re really lucky, a client walks through your door and ends up becoming someone you genuinely care about. 🥹💗

✨ A little Glow by April update ✨

As Glow by April continues to grow, it’s become necessary for me to put a few more formal procedures in place to help keep everything running smoothly.

First, I want to say that my clients are AMAZING. The overwhelming majority of you are incredibly respectful of my time, communicate with me if something comes up, and show up ready to glow. I truly appreciate you! 🩷

However, on occasion, I do have a no-call/no-show or a very last-minute cancellation. The hours you see available on my booking site are hours that I specifically make myself available for appointments, and when someone doesn’t show, that time usually can’t be filled by another client on such short notice.

Going forward, a card will be required to be kept on file when booking. You will NOT be charged when you book. Cancellations within 24 hours and no-call/no-shows will be subject to a $25 fee.

I completely understand that life happens! Each appointment may be rescheduled one time at no charge, and you’ll receive a reminder approximately 48 hours before your appointment so you have plenty of time to make any necessary changes.
