There is just something so satisfying about deleting 13,000 photos in one click. After backing them up to a hard drive, of course. Only 60,000 more to go. 🖱️✨
I’m so pleased to finally be getting this done. How’s your Saturday going? Doing something fun? Tell me.

Well, I’m learning the thing that knitting teaches you the most- patience.
My poncho turned out to be more like a blanket and unfortunately, the problem was with the cast on. The calculation to adjust for my yarn was way off!
You know that little warning we ignore with Chat Gpt? “It can make mistakes,” sure can! 😵💫
Next time I won’t wait until I’m finished to double check it. I’m learning. 🧶
But for now I can see that I love the fabric although I might make it a little bit more open next time. The yarn color is beautiful.
Bigger needles arrive today then we start again. Third time’s a charm, eh? 🫤
One of the hardest things after ankle surgery has been finding shoes that fit or don’t hurt.
And as I know, it’s really important to have all the muscles in your feet working and strong, I decided to go against the norm of wearing the most padded shoes I could find and go the complete opposite direction.
I love being barefoot, but that comes with some hazards, especially outdoors.
I’ve had my eye on these Earth Runners for years and I thought now would be the best time to give it a go.
I want to strengthen my feet as much as I can and these shoes allow me full flexibility plus grounding so I took the plunge and bought my first pair.
I’ll let you know as I break them in if this is a good move or not, but I can tell already, it will be. 🤗✨🦶
Do you wear grounding shoes? I’d love to hear your experience.

Well, I’m back at the orthopedic office while they dig around an incision looking for a buried stitch. I have a small infection. I thought that last spot on my ankle was finally healing and I could get back in the pool soon, so this was frustrating.
Just a reminder that progress doesn’t always move in a straight line. A setback doesn’t erase how far you’ve come. We take care of what’s in front of us and keep going.
And the bonus from checking back in was that I got a referral for PT. So the progress continues.✨🙂
Your reminder: before you put on that sleep mask tonight, give it a good wash. A dirty mask, no matter how good it is and cause you breakouts. 😱
And make sure you wash it with skin-friendly soap. It’s going to be on your skin all night after all.
I love my Manta Sleep mask because of these adjustable soft eye cups and they are easily removable for washing.
Do you use a sleep mask?
Sleep tight! 😴

We are lucky to have a little wild escape right out our back door. Our daily desert dog walk slips us through the hedge and into the wild. Just a few steps from the pool and manicured grass, everything feels quieter and a little more wild.
I’m grateful Bodihi and Chloe get me out there to notice it. 🌿
I recorded this while walking the dogs, intending it to be a simple reminder to check on our friends and loved ones, especially those who live alone.
But while I was editing it, I learned that my friend was in the hospital after what doctors believe was a mini stroke. He’s doing okay now. Sounds much better. What began as a simple reminder became something more.
We’ve become so accustomed to checking in by text, but I wouldn’t have known something was wrong if I hadn’t heard his voice. Sometimes we need to make the call.
And don’t ignore those impulses to reach out. Don’t dismiss the unexpected call, the person who suddenly crosses your mind, or the synchronicity that makes you pause.
I don’t know what might have happened if I hadn’t accidentally called him this morning. I only know that I’m very grateful I listened to that nudge and called him back.
If someone is on your mind, reach out. It may mean far more than you know.

Good morning! Happy Tuesday. 🤗
Just me being chief dog walker for the first time since the surgery. To be honest it’s harder than I expected it to be. But I’m doing it!
We persevere, don’t we?
Since the temperatures have dropped a little we are all enjoying being outdoors.
I hope you have a good day. 🙂🌼

Happy Monday! I’m off to pick up mail.
Rich just left on a business trip so I have three days with just the dogs and I don’t know what to do first. Usually when he’s gone, I tackle a big project. Reorganize or redecorate something but I think this time it’s going to be a media project.
I don’t know about you, but I am so tired of paying for cloud storage for things I don’t look at, especially photos. And I’ve maxed out what I have so I think it’s going to be a big digital cleanse. Something I have put off for years! Ugh😩
Anyone else know this dreaded feeling?
But I’m trying to reframe it this time and think about how happy I will feel when this is done and I can actually find things that are important. And cut the added expense. 💸
So I think that’s where I’m going to be spending most of my time. The next few days is cleaning up…what you can’t see.
I’ve got 70k photos!! 😳
