Summer harvest thus far (from my little yard only): Lavender (Spanish), St. John’s Wort, Hydrangea, Shasta Daisies, Gerbera Daisies, Sage, Rosemary, Black-Eyed Susans, Fringed Willowherb, Peppermint, and more not pictured (yet). I’m in love with the climate here in the PNW. I grew things successfully in Austin, no doubt, but the flowers here are what are taking my breath away. Soooooo many flowers! So many pollinators! And the plants I see growing in random places make my heart sing

It’s my birthday, and it’s all about me. I’m celebrating the 10th anniversary of my 36th because I sure don’t feel 46! Do I look it? No, don’t answer that. Just love me cuz I love you back 🩵 Another successful trip around the 🌞 Blessed be! 🌑🌒🌓🌔🌕🌖🌗🌘🌑

Someone recently asked me what products I use for my skincare/self care routine. Do I make all my own? I don’t! Here are some things I can’t live without along with some items I make and use EVERY DAY that I also could not live without: Rosewater Toner is what I use on my face and neck during the day. Rose Hydrosol is what I use all over after a shower. R&R sun serum is my favorite natural sunscreen. My own sugar scrub and lotion bar keep my lips soft and free of dry skin. When my forehead gets a little shiny in the afternoon, I use a charcoal blotting sheet. At night, I use makeup removing cleanser balm especially for my eye makeup and Rose Micellar Water for the rest of my face and neck. Last but not least, moisturizer which is ultra light, unscented (as it should be), and velvety soft on my face and neck. Did you notice a theme there? Rose is my favorite ingredient and caring for my neck as I do for my face is how I attack the aging process without pain and expensive treatments. I like tea. Especially tea made from flowers. I tried some jasmine tea at this little place in Chinatown in downtown Seattle this evening. It was so cool to see the color change as it steeped. It’s the little things 🫖🍵 My daughter took me out for Mother’s Day! I am so grateful 🪷 🫂 and 💕 to all!

Some of my students’ beautiful creations. I’m so proud! We had a few struggles here and there, but everyone stuck with it and ended up with some lovely . My favorite part of these is the way each person comes up with something unique using the same basic materials. It’s really inspiring!
