In the hoodoo world, the two-dollar bill is a type of "Green Back" that is much more than just pocket change—it's considered a hand for attracting wealth and prosperity.

Many people consider the two-dollar bill to be uncommon, and in hoodoo, rarity is often a sign of special power or luck. in Hoodoo. While the U.S. Treasury still prints them, they don't circulate as widely as other denominations. This scarcity makes the bill seem unique, giving it more spiritual value. This is similar to how other rare items, like a four-leaf clover or a foreign coin, are seen as especially lucky—they stand out from the ordinary and are said to hold a more lucky energy.

At the heart of the two-dollar bill's appeal is the symbolism of the number two, which in hoodoo represents doubling. By carrying this bill, practitioners of Hoodoo believe they are actively inviting the power of two to double their money, double their luck, and double their opportunities for financial gain. This isn't just about attracting wealth; the number two can also represent balance, so the bill can be used to bring stability and harmony into one's life as well.

Historically, the two-dollar bill has carried a reputation for bad luck, often associated with illicit activities. It was even nicknamed "deuce", meaning the Devil. In some cases, people would tear off a corner to ward off this negative energy, just in case the deuce picked up some bad luck during gambling or an illicit activity. However, Hoodoo reinterprets its meaning even if a corner is torn off for safety measures. Instead of being a symbol of bad luck or misfortune, the two-dollar bill is an object of undoubtedly good luck.

Ultimately, the two-dollar bill's significance in Hoodoo lies in its ability to act as a tangible talisman or hand. By combining its perceived rarity with the symbolism of the number two, it becomes a hand for doubling your fortune and attracting prosperity.

I will be sharing how to feed the 2 dollar bill on my Patreon and recipies very soon.

Believe it or not, us Ojibwe also have a story about Paul Bunyan. He came to the area known as Red Lake and tried his de-forestation BS, but Nanaboozhoo - The Greatest Ojibwe who ever lived - obviously wasn't having none of that. They got into a fight that lasted 3 days, and finally our hero picked up a giant walleye and slapped the outlander silly with it. Paul got knocked on his ass in a mud puddle, so hard it left an imprint of his bu******ks there in the wet ground...thats why the lake is shaped the way it is and why we were able to keep our forest. You'll never hear this story in a book, but that's basically how I heard it from my father when I was young - after coming home from kindergarten in bemidj (pauls favorite town, mwahaha!) and talking about him. That's the story behind the Paul/Babe & Nanaboozhoo statues in that town. This used to be a sign at the rez line, I remember the chimooks didn't like it and kept cutting it down. But the story lives on, and now you know
