Are you a curly girl who likes to straighten your hair? I spent most of the summer leaving it curly... (and frizzy at times 😬) and you know what? It grew a lot! Taking a break from the heat of styling tools goes a long way.

I know for a lot of us, it's very difficult to not use some sort of styling tool that includes high heat. But if you're trying to grow out your hair, consider just using the proper curl products to let it air dry, and take a little break from the heating tools!

How often does YOUR hairstylist make you a quesadilla, while your hair is processing? 😁😝 I've been her stylist since she was a middle schooler. I needed to make some quick chicken quesadillas for my twins, and asked if she wanted one. She drove a long way to see me, and her appointment took some time! Clients get hungry! The perks of a home based salon! Maybe I should make clients help me with laundry or dishes? 😆

How would getting your hair done on a Sunday feel? I'm thinking of opening up one or 2 Sundays a month, for the busy ladies who work late. Or just sometimes it's difficult to make the time during the week. Life is just busy!

It was five years ago today, that i made a life changing decision. I filed for divorce. To say it's been a bumpy road is an understatement. But I'm in a better place, I have a great man in my life, and I have PEACE. I've been distracted and overwhelmed with some recent events tied to all that, but that is over now and I'm so ready to focus on my business and my clients again. To those who have stuck with me through all of this, THANK YOU. 💜

Got to spend some much needed time with my cousin, covering some gray and adding some honey highlights. Sometimes doing a friend or family's hair is a great way to catch up, life is just so busy for all of us!

4 weeks of staying away from the flat iron! Those of you with curly hair who regularly straighten it know that's a feat! 😂 let's see if i can go all of August doing the same.

Hey it's almost that time! Back to school! When do you or your kids go back? Mine start Aug. 6. 😱 I still have extended hours next week. Be sure to book your appointment, and that your kid is going back to school with fabulous hair 😉

Weekend trip in Chicago. I'm always so glad to be back home. I've become such a homebody lol.
