We recommend tan trialing NO later than 2-3 weeks before your big week. Preferably, 1 month in advance. This allows you enough time to nourish your skin with a consistent body care routine.

No good tan is ever wasted but, if you have an upcoming bridal event, that would be an ideal time to schedule your first tan with us.

Introducing, Tanné’s newest artist. 😍

Some of you may have already had the pleasure of getting a tan from her, while others may have noticed her on our website. I’m beyond overjoyed to officially share her with you.

If you don’t know who Hannah is — She’s an incredibly talented wedding and lifestyle photographer with over a decade of experience. Her specialty is preserving the magic of a bride’s big day and continuing to capture the family’s journey as they grow. She owns alongside her husband, Michael.

Was I “looking to add to the team”? Not necessarily, but it was divine timing. 🧚‍♂️

Prior to training with Hannah hiring felt impossible. My business is my baby and I feel so deeply for what I’ve built and my clients relationships. It’s so hard to let go but, it felt so right to bring her in.

Hannah has been tanning with me since I had my in home studio (3 years ago) and now, in Lafayette, a regular bi-weekly bronzed visitor. Spray tanning during pregnancy —

First, yes, you absolutely can spray tan or self during pregnancy. My personal rule is, (with doctor approval) — if you’re feeling well, nourishing your body with food and hydration, + out of your first trimester you have my blessing for a service. 🤍

Should you be concerned about anything?
TWO main things you should be conscious of is the air quality and solution ingredients being used. Spray tans are deemed safe for all. Per the FDA, spray tan solution can only be applied externally, meaning you should not ingest or inhale it.

Air quality should be your TOP TOP priority when tanning, but especially when pregnant. To ensure clean air during your service, our studio is equipped with a professional grade extraction unit. The system is open on both sides and on top to allow easy air flow. This system effectively pulls particles away from you and into a filter system. We also use an additional air purifier to further filter.

If you’re anything like me, you might become more conscious of what you put on your skin during this delicate time. ‘THE NATURAL’ is our newest solution featuring only 6 ingredients, no FD&C dyes, no alcohols, instead food-grade preservatives and real caramel for a bronzer tone. Other tan options we would steer clear of if we were prepping for a big event are:
tanning bed sessions, inconsistent booth tans, and excessive sun exposure. Both tanning bed sessions and unprotected sun exposure can dry your skin out, create harsh tan lines, and ultimately put you at risk for skin cancer.

When choosing your bridal tan, a hand-sprayed airbrush tan is your most hydrating, safe, and most seamless tan option.

Tanné Tan Tips — Wedding Edition

1. Book a trial tan.

Besides the main reason to get a trial tan (so we can establish your perfect darkness level,) getting a pre wedding tan will allow you to feel more confident in your skin prep routine, initial rinse steps, and aftercare. Trust me, get a trial tan so your wedding tan experience is a piece of cake.

When to book your trial? No less than two weeks before your wedding tan, but ideally at least a month in advance.

2. Probably the best tip of them all.

Book a wash and style appointment with your hair stylist the day of rehearsal. Instead of washing your hair too early in the week or sacrificing your bronzer tone by taking a long shower post tan… treat yourself to a salon visit!

3. Lotion up.

The biggest misunderstanding about spray tans is that it ONLY matters how you take care of your tan not about what you do before. One of the best things you can do for your tan is to focus on inner and outer hydration for the days leading up to your appointment. Lots of quality water, plant-based body care, and minimal sun exposure ultimately help your tan develop more even and last longer.
