The Band of Owls has suffered a great loss. Josiel was a sweet, talented member of the ensemble. This being his first year in the competitive ensemble, Josiel enjoyed every second in rehearsals, performances, and competitions. He was able to bring a smile to his section no matter the type of day they had, and was a true example of what it was to be a member of the band. He is loved, cared for, and has left a lasting impact in our lives.
We send our love and condolences to his family during this time.

La Banda de Búhos ha sufrido una gran pérdida hoy. Josiel era un miembro lindo y talentoso de la banda. Siendo su primer año en una banda competitiva, Josiel disfrutaba cada segundo de los ensayos, presentaciones y competencias. A beautiful young life lost too soon. A mother without a daughter.
Rhiana Kemplin tragically lost her life Saturday morning, just hours before she was to perform with her Agua Fria High School Band. She was a larger than life soul to her band, her friends, and especially her family.
