This month, our August Animal Massage OfficeHours will focus on therapeutic massage techniques and tips for working with thoracolumbar injury.
Join in this virtual community training time!
Co-facilitated by Casara Andre, Veterinarian and Lynnette of Balanced Paws(and CSAM recent graduate!) - this session will cover the fundamentals in therapeutic massage flow: checking in with yourself, passive touch and gliding strokes, the specific work of caring for the whole animal around an injury — connecting the front end and hind end, watching the animal’s signals for too much or too little sensation and, closing in a way that lets the patient stay in a calm, integrated state.

Massage for all animals!
Daisy Mae thoroughly enjoyed her time during our most recent Clinical Intensive worksession as a Demo Animal! Thanks for Daisy Mae and her mum for giving their time so our students can learn! ♥️🐾
Knowing your anatomical landmarks is an important step to feeling confident in your massage. Anatomical landmarks help us know where we are on the animal... regardless of if they are laying on their side, seated, or even standing.
Dr. Casara Andre demonstrates several canine anatomical landmarks in this video. Curious to learn more? Join the next community class - First Saturdays, each month.
