After all the ups and downs of my life-crazy bosses, multiple boyfriends, numerous surgeries, losing my parents and grandparents, and surviving the fire in the Laguna Niguel House-my life has finally come together. I'm at the cusp of a dream that began when I was nine years old. Back then I was watching soaps, drooling over the bigger-than-life characters on Dynasty, and concocting potions in whatever containers I could scrounge. I've never for a minute veered from my dream of owning my own cosmetic firm. It took years of working for free so I could learn the cosmetic business, followed by years of schooling and mentoring, but i learned it all. It was excruciatingly difficult and amazingly satisfying at the same time.

Despite all the chaos in my home life, I was somehow still able to focus on my pursuit of business success. I also began to realize something. I was an entrepreneur. I mean, I was REALLY an entrepreneur. I don't know why it took so long for it to hit home, but once it did, it became obvious. Entrepreneurialism was somehow in my blood.

I can work with people really easily, bu I can't answer to them. I can do things my way, but not someone else's. I can conform to what I know I need to do, but can never conform to what people are telling me to do. I can create my own schedule, but I can't operate on other people's. That might make me sound like an ass, but it's not that. I'm a tremendous collaborator. I love people. I love creating. I love the business I lead today.
