Are you seeing what Iām seeing?
So many people are so scared to ālose lengthā when this one little snip could change your whole look.
Now let me preface this by saying- I
Will never pressure a haircut. Ever.
Most of the time I suggest less of a cut then what the majority of people come in thinking they need.
But also, there are certain standards people live by. And as a Pentecostal women myself I am very much in tune and aware of those standards.
If you donāt cut your hair, or have thought about not wanting to cut your hair anymore, or even if you donāt cut your hair but have thought about maybe doing it once or twice. This post is not for you. And Iām here to tell you to follow that calling and donāt let the standards created by the world around you convince you youāre doing it wrong. You arenāt. Youāre beautiful and so is your hair sisterš¤
The space Iām creating is a safe one for everybody!

If youāre new hereāor if itās just been a whileāthis oneās for you.
Hereās a little about the girl behind the curls.šš»

I know there are dozens of you reading this right now who have sat in my chair, looked at my hair, and probably thought something like:
āShe was just born with good hair. She couldnāt possibly understand what itās like to have damaged hair. How could she help me?ā
Or maybe youāve never sat in my chair and only know me through social media, but youāve thought something similar.
The truth is⦠thatās probably the biggest misconception about me.
I havenāt always had healthy hair.
During hair school, I was convinced I knew exactly what I was doing. I colored my own hair constantlyāLooking back now, I wasnāt creating beautiful hair⦠I was repeatedly over-processing it. My hair became dry, fragile, broken and unhealthy because I didnāt yet understand that healthy hair isnāt built through constant changeāitās built through consistency, patience, and restraint.
The photo from July 6th was the very last time I ever colored my hair.
From that day forward, I committed to growing out my natural hair. It wasnāt glamorous. There were months where the grow-out felt awkward, uneven, and honestly made me want to color it ājust one more time.ā But I knew that every time I gave in, Iād only be delaying the healthy hair I really wanted.
Then, in September of 2024, I had my final haircut and removed the last little bit of artificial color from my hair.
Everything on my head today is natural.
If youāve ever come to me wanting healthier hair, youāve probably heard me say the same things over and over:
āItās a journey⦠and itās not always a fun one.ā
Iāve told you to wear your hair down more often, reach for claw clips instead of tight hairstyles, stop with the slick backs, put the straightener away, and trust the process.
I donāt tell you those things because theyāre trendy advice. I tell you because Iāve lived them.
I know how frustrating it is to look in the mirror and want your appearance to change but you feel like your hair will never get there. I know how tempting it is to reach for the color, the heat, or the quick fix because I fought those same urges myself.
Thatās also why Iāll never promise you overnight results. Healthy hair isnāt built in one appointment or with one miracle product. Itās built by the choices you make every single day, over months and even years.
What you see today isnāt the result of perfect genetics or luck. Itās the result of commitment.
So when I ask you to trust the process, Iām not asking you to do something I havenāt done myself. Iām asking you to walk a road Iāve already walked.
Because I know firsthand that healthy hair is possible.
And if youāre willing to commit to the journey, Iāll be with you every step of the way. š¤
