Kind of a long post, but please read 🩷

Just a little reminder from the person behind the chair 🤍

I genuinely try SO hard to accommodate everyone I possibly can. I come in early, stay late, move things around, squeeze people in when I’m able, and work around schedules because I truly appreciate every single person who chooses to sit in my chair.

But sometimes I think it’s easy to forget that behind the booking link and appointment times, I’m a real person running a small business and trying to support my family just like everyone else.

When someone cancels at the last minute or doesn’t show, it’s so much more than an empty spot on my calendar. That was several hours specifically reserved for that person that I usually can’t fill again with little notice.

And my cancellation policy is about so much more than charging someone a percentage of their service. I don’t WANT to charge cancellation fees. The purpose of having a policy is to protect the time I’ve set aside for each client and to make it possible for me to continue running my business while still being as accommodating as I can.

The same goes for my pricing. A $50 haircut isn’t “$50 just for a trim.” It’s a complete service — shampoo, professional products, the haircut, styling, my time, education, experience, supplies, and everything that goes into providing that appointment from beginning to end.

I completely understand that everyone has a budget, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with deciding that a service isn’t within yours. I just ask that we remember that a service not fitting someone’s budget doesn’t mean the service or the person providing it is charging “too much.”

I LOVE what I do & each and every one of you that support me, and I’m incredibly grateful that I get to do it. 🩷 I’ll probably always be the person trying to figure out how to squeeze somebody in or make an appointment work 😂

I just ask for the same communication, consideration, and respect for my time that I try my hardest to give every person who sits in my chair.

At the end of the day, I’m not just a hairstylist. I’m a human, a mom, a fiancé, and a small business owner doing my best too. 🤍
