Did anyone know that there is a Cosmetology Licensure Compact between 11 states? The Cosmetology Licensure Compact allows cosmetologists to hold one multistate license, enabling practice in all participating member states without obtaining individual licenses for each. As of early 2026, over 10 states have enacted the legislation—including Alabama, Arizona, Colorado, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Ohio, Tennessee, Virginia, Washington, and West Virginia.

This is a big step in our industry! One thing I would like to say is that I wish all the states up the schooling from 1000 hours, more or less to 2100 universally to make it completely universal. This would ensure that everyone is taught the proper guidelines and has more time to really know their craft! But that's just me.

Another state board inspection passed!
Make sure when selecting your beauty salon that your salon is following proper sanitation procedures!
Have a beautiful day Havasu!

Whew. What a couple of days its been. Started re-vamping the salon yesterday! Almost finished today! Just some minor details to put together and it will be completed! This revamp is epic! I cannot wait for each of you to come in on your next scheduled appointment and see the changes! I have to shout out to my wonderful, loving, amazing husband for all his extra hard work in this! He is my rock! Thank you Luke Rydel for all the help and ideas!

Happy Tuesday everyone! I want to take a minute to thank each and every guest in my salon, from the wonderful gifts, the extra love, the continued support, and referrals! I am indebted to each of you! Now here's something fun! Start watching for the new changes coming in the next few weeks/months! Im sure its going to be epic!
