LET’S TALK ABOUT DANDRUFF. 👀
That flaky scalp you keep trying to “moisturize” may not actually be a dry scalp.
One of the most common causes of dandruff is an overgrowth of Malassezia, a yeast that naturally lives on the scalp. When the scalp environment gets out of balance, it can contribute to itching, irritation, excess oil and those flakes that just keep coming back.
And here’s where people get it wrong…
They see flakes → assume their scalp is dry → add oils and heavy products → still have flakes → add MORE moisture.
Meanwhile, they may never be addressing what’s actually causing the problem.
This is exactly why I’m changing the direction of my service menu.
I’m diving heavily into scalp health and scalp therapy, where we can actually look at the condition of your scalp, remove stubborn buildup and excess oil, thoroughly cleanse and exfoliate the scalp, and create a healthier environment for your hair.
Not every flaky scalp is dandruff, and not every scalp needs the same treatment. That’s why I want to treat the scalp in front of me, instead of giving everybody the same shampoo and calling it a day.

DANDRUFF IS NOT JUST DRY SCALP.
This is one of the biggest misconceptions
I hear. Dandruff is often connected to an overgrowth of a naturally occurring yeast on the scalp called Malassezia. That's why piling on oils or treating it like dry skin can sometimes make the problem worse instead of better.
This is exactly why I'm shifting so much of my focus toward scalp health. My scalp treatments are designed to thoroughly remove stubborn flakes, excess oil, dead skin and product buildup while properly cleansing and balancing the scalp. I’m not just shampooing your hair and hoping for the best. I’m actually addressing what's happening on your scalp!!
