One of the most underrated parts of a salon visit is having a safe space to simply be yourself. As stylists, we do so much more than hair—we listen, encourage, laugh, and sometimes even wipe away tears. Through every appointment, we hear about the wins, the setbacks, the dreams, and the challenges our clients face. Being trusted with those conversations is a privilege, and creating an environment where people feel comfortable enough to vent, unload, and leave feeling lighter is just as important as the service itself. I was scared to post this video, but I did it anyway. Sometimes fear can make us question ourselves, hold us back, or make us feel like we’re not ready. But I’ve learned that growth happens when we move forward despite the fear. Not every answer comes immediately, and not every journey happens on our timeline. Patience is the key. It’s been such a journey watching my nephew grow up into the young boy he is today. Seeing his personality shine brighter every year, watching him learn, grow, and become more confident has been one of the greatest blessings. Time moves so fast, and it’s crazy to think about how small he once was compared to the strong, smart, and kind young man he’s becoming. No matter how much he grows, he’ll always hold a special place in my heart, and I’ll always be proud to watch him continue to evolve into his own person.

Today was extra special for me because I got to welcome my goddaughter into my chair for her very first appointment at the shop. Moments like this remind me that hair is more than beauty — it’s connection, love, trust, and memories being created one appointment at a time. Watching her smile, laugh, and feel beautiful in a space I worked so hard to build touched my heart in a way words can’t fully explain. Being able to share my passion with someone so close to me means everything, and this is a memory I’ll cherish forever. ✨
