BODE BARS
Handmade Soaps & Candles – by mom and daughters. Formulated soaps, natural remedies.

Today, we donated **20 pounds of handmade soap** and gave special bars to the loving staff members who care for others every day. ❤️
These weren’t old soaps or bars that “weren’t selling.” In fact, it’s because so many of you purchased our soaps that we were able to make and provide this donation.
The most beautiful part? Lily intentionally saved some of her prettiest bars—her Rose Milk & Clay soaps—specifically for the women and children at the shelter. We all quietly did a little of that, setting aside bars we knew might make someone smile.
Throughout the day, we kept imagining the children receiving them—smelling each one and excitedly saying, *“Mom, look at this one! Smell this one!”* We could picture it so clearly, and each time, we just silently smiled.
For a long time, it sat in the back of my mind that I wasn’t doing enough. Money is tight, and I’m not always able to donate financially. Then I realized that we had an opportunity through our soaps. I intentionally added $1 to the price of each goat milk and tallow bar so we could continue giving handmade soap made with beautiful, thoughtfully chosen ingredients to people who deserve something special.
That means every bar counts. Whether you personally donate or simply support our small business, you are helping us pay it forward.
This truly isn’t a sales pitch. Those who know me know I’ve worn the same clothes for years, rarely update my wardrobe, and don’t care much about brand names or keeping up with appearances. To me, all of that vanity is BS.
When we’re gone, what remains are the memories we made and the love we gave. That is my goal: time with my family, funny moments, hard work, and—of course—plenty of nagging about messy rooms, homework, and everything else motherhood brings.
Through it all, our bond is tight. We are growing, learning, and giving together.
There truly is no greater reward than the gift of giving. Thank you for helping our family create a little more kindness, one bar at a time. 🫧❤️

A liquid hand-soap recall made the news today, and it’s a good reminder that “handmade” and “natural” should never mean ignoring the science.
Water-based products require special attention, which is why our ACV rinse includes a cosmetic preservative as part of its formulation. I love natural ingredients—but bacteria are natural too, and nobody ordered those. 😂
🐓 BODE BARS HAS SOME VERY EXCITING NEWS! 🧼
We’re piloting our very first permanent storefront inside The Lakeland Market! You’ll be able to find us at Booth 117, open seven days a week from 10 AM–8 PM!
Do I know exactly how we’re going to manage a storefront, my full-time job, the girls, online orders, and weekend markets? Absolutely not. 🤣 But hard work and determination have always gotten me places, and I’m giving this opportunity everything I have.
Thankfully, my mom has volunteered to help while I’m working in the clinic, and more volunteers are already lining up to cover my office days. I’m incredibly grateful for every person who has supported us—whether you placed an order, bought from us at a market, shared a post, left a comment, or simply told someone about Bode Bars.
Little by little, what started with an Amazon gift card has grown into a fully operational family business—and now, our very first storefront. 🥹
I promise to continue being transparent about what goes into our products and to always choose the very best ingredients I can for you and your family.
Our soft opening will be in October, followed by our grand opening in November!
And don’t worry—we’ll still be at our weekend farmers markets because apparently we love the Florida heat, the chaos, and, most of all, getting to interact with all of you. 🤣 But now, when someone asks, “Where is your store?” I finally have somewhere to send them!

🕙 Open daily, 10 AM–8 PM
Thank you for helping a mother and her daughters build something we once only dreamed about. This is a huge step for our little family business, and we cannot wait to welcome you into our new space! 🐓🧼❤️

At every farmers market, Lily and Isabelle show everyone Lily’s fun soaps first—then point toward mine and say, “And over here is the boring adult soap.” 🤣
Honestly, they’re not completely wrong. I make hot-process soap, so there’s only so much wiggle room for the intricate designs Lily creates.
Well, guess who decided to make her very own “boring adult soap”? Lily! And there is absolutely nothing boring about it.
Under my supervision, she carefully mixed her own lye solution, chose poppy seeds because she loves how they feel in the shower, and then couldn’t decide between blueberry and lemongrass—so, naturally, she used both!
It smells AMAZING, looks stunning, and even has a little biodegradable glitter for extra Lily magic. ✨🫐🍋
I may have taught her how to make soap, but this girl’s creativity is completely her own—and I am so proud of her. Apparently, “boring adult soap” just needed the Lily treatment. 🧼💙

I have to hand it to my girls. ❤️
Remember last Saturday at VendorCon, when we completely lost our minds by the end of the day? 😂
We promise not to do that tomorrow… probably. 🤣
Tomorrow is our first farmers market at Lakeside Village, and we would love for you to come check us out!
Stop by, hang out with us, walk around, smell our soaps, and enjoy the market. We’ll have our handmade Bode Bars products available, and we’d love to see you there! 🧼❤️

I don’t watch much news—but when beef starts making headlines, apparently the soap lady has to pay attention. 😂🐄
While everyone is debating imported beef and hamburger prices, here’s the official **Bode Bars Beef Report:**
The grass-fed tallow used in our premium soaps is **made in the USA and locally sourced from U.S. farms**, according to our supplier. 🇺🇸
And no, we’re not serving it with mashed potatoes. We blend it with goat milk, oatmeal and premium oils to create a rich, creamy lather and a firm bar that lasts.
Turns out one of the best uses for grass-fed beef might be in your shower. 🤣🧼
**Grass-fed. Farm-sourced. Made in America. Definitely not a cheeseburger.**
Small Batches. Big Bubbles.
The market was cancelled tonight due to the weather but we’ll be at lakeside village Sunday. I’ll post details soon ❤️

Three boxes filled with soaps for three different orders—and one very happy, very tired small business owner! 😂📦🧼
Do I look exhausted? Absolutely. Are we asking AI to fix these pictures? Absolutely not. 🤣 This is what a small business looks like behind the scenes, and I couldn’t be more thankful.
Every single order still makes us genuinely excited. Thank you for choosing Bode Bars, supporting our family business, and keeping this mama and her girls busy doing something we love. ❤️🐓

Fun fact: We handwrite a thank-you card for every order we receive! 💌
Isabelle is usually the first one to write—and somehow manages to take up about 75% of the card. 🤣 I finally had to start drawing elementary-school-style lines to keep her writing in her section. She’s getting better at it, though! 😂❤️
Thank you all so much for your orders! We truly appreciate each and every one of you. We always jump up and get excited when we see a new order come through our dashboard—it feels like it’s our very first order every time!
