I could really use some advice from fellow business owners.

I own True KQingdom Hair on the north side of Lakeland, and I've been feeling discouraged lately.

Whenever I visit another beauty supply store to buy inventory or get inspiration, I'll watch one register or one product line generate more sales in an hour than my entire store does in a full day. It makes me wonder what I'm missing.

I'm grateful to be the only beauty supply store on this side of Lakeland, but my store is still too quiet. The sales aren't coming in fast enough for me to keep expanding my inventory the way I want to. I know advertising is part of the answer, but I feel like there has to be more to it.

For those of you who have built successful retail businesses:

What changed everything for you?
Was it marketing, product selection, customer experience, social media, events, or something else?
If you walked into my store today, what would make you come back—and what would make you tell your friends?

I'm open to honest, constructive feedback. I'm not giving up. I believe in my business, and I know it can become what I envision. I just know I don't have all the answers yet, and I'm willing to learn from people who've been where I am.
