Mothers Day.
It’s always been one of our best selling days. We’ve promoted it, and mailed about it, posted about it, and put together the most beautiful curated gifts. This is my second Mother’s Day without my mom. I find myself balancing between thankfulness that I am a mother to four beautiful children who show me they love me every single day and grief that instead of showing up for my own mother, I have to take quiet space with her memory that sometimes feels so empty without her physical presence.
I thought the 2nd year it would be easier. It is not. But I’ll show up anyways and hope as the years go by, I’ll get more excited about it again.
Locals, I’ll be at Savage Tap today, Saturday May 9, 1-4. Stop in, grab a beer, shop some amazing local vendors for that special Mother’s Day gift, and if you too, are struggling with loss this year, stop by anyways. Sometimes just a hug is the best gift. 💕

I sometimes get so wrapped up in this small business journey. No sooner am I meeting one goal and the next is on the horizon. Rarely ever do I take time for myself. Rarely ever do I stop and bask in how far I’ve come. I told myself this year I was going to slow down. Step out of the boss lady energy and tune into my feminine. I have a bazillion fragrances. I have craft and vendor shows scheduled. I have an amazing support circle. I have a beautiful, successful business. Right now I need that softness. That energy that just believes it will all work out. That all that hard work and hustle mentality will carry me through. I’ve missed the feeling that using my product vs selling my product brings. So here I am. Allowing myself the space and freedom I worked so hard for. ✨
