Spending all day today to do some paint touch up and pulled w**ds, haha I became a “professional w**d puller” 😅, even tho I hired people to help me as well…

I got some exterior pictures of the new shop for you all to view, it’s on 23rd Ave and Kipling, and the shop’s door faces on Kipling, I still keep the same phone number for the new shop

After finishing building the new shop ( because it was taking too long - years) I’m so broke now, so I designed for my own temporary exterior signs! Well, You guys won’t miss it, if you saw “ugly”, “homemade” signs, those are my signs! 😜

This morning I went to my old shop on Union and put this sign up on the window, so much emotional, I had so many memories with this shop. 🥹
I started this business when I was 24, 25 years old, I was so shy and barely spoke English, had no credits , my amazing landlord was so kind, believed in me signed a lease with me ( of course I had the previous owners who sold this shop 17 years ago, told him nice things about me, so he could feel better when he signed a contract with me).
I appreciated it so much and I told him I would not let him down!
After I took over the shop, it was in March.2008, the market crashed, I worked by myself from sun up to sun down for years to be able to keep the business going, and paid the rents, bills and take care of my little baby girl etc … and then Covid hit in 2019, once again I had to do my best to be able to survive and keep the business going, but this time I had my technicians, my team to go thru the pandemic with me, the business wasn’t doing so good like it was before Covid, but I’m glad I didn’t give up my plans, my goals… it took me years to finish building the new shop, but I’m glad we got it done! Thank you to all of my engineers and contractors and everyone at City of Lakewood!
