Such a special morning seeing Sanyu and Ali on the front page of today’s paper! ❤️
This article means so much because it highlights their journey as young artists and the opportunities they’ve had to share their creativity with the community over the years.
From Sanyu seeing her paintings displayed publicly and connecting with people through her art, to Ali having his own artwork selected and recognized, I’m so proud that they continue to put themselves and their creativity out into the world.
And there’s something extra special about seeing their story in print — and opening the paper to find them right on the FRONT PAGE. 🥹📰
So proud of you, Sanyu and Ali. Keep creating. Keep growing. Keep sharing your gifts. This is only part of the story. ❤️🎨

to January 2022. 🎨✨ Somehow Sanyu was creating magic with what might be the tiniest paintbrush ever. 😂 I still have no idea what she was thinking, but clearly she knew exactly what she was doing. Every masterpiece starts somewhere. 💛

Earlier this month, we had the privilege of experiencing Joe Turner’s Come and Gone Joe Turner’s Come and Gone with fellow future Debbie Allen Middle School students, and it’s a memory we’ll treasure.
As the production comes to a close this week, we want to congratulate Ms. Debbie Allen, Savannah Commodore Savannah, and the entire cast and crew on an incredible run. Your talent, dedication, and storytelling inspired us.
Savannah, it has been so special watching your journey. From being Ali’s Hot Chocolate Nutcracker partner to shining on stage in this beautiful production, we’re so proud of you. ❤️
Sanyu, now a Debbie Allen Middle School graduate, and Ali, who will be joining the next class, are grateful for the opportunity to learn from and be inspired by such an amazing artistic community.
Thank you for reminding us of the power of theater and the importance of telling stories that move hearts. Wishing you all a wonderful closing week and many more standing ovations to come! 👏🎭✨
I’m grateful to be part of another meaningful project that uses storytelling to encourage conversations that matter.
Every young person deserves to feel safe in their school, neighborhood and community. I hope this PSA inspires people to listen, care and work together to create a safer future.

Student Success Celebration

A little late, but definitely worth celebrating. 💙🎓✨
Four weeks ago, we had the privilege of celebrating an incredible milestone as Sanyu participated in the Student Success Celebration and Graduation at Debbie Allen Middle School
Watching her walk across that stage was a reminder of how much can happen in a year. Through hard work, perseverance, creativity, and determination, she reached this moment surrounded by classmates, teachers, family, and a community that believes in excellence.
We are so proud of everything she has accomplished and excited for all that’s ahead as she begins her next chapter. Thank you to the amazing faculty, staff, and supporters at Debbie Allen Middle School for pouring into these students and celebrating their achievements.
Congratulations to the entire Class of 2026! 🎉 Here’s to new beginnings, bigger dreams, and continuing to shine.
