As the Director of Community Programs of Patients R Waiting, I am invigorated from the amazing weekend that was the 10th Annual Diversity in Medicine Conference 🩺 Witnessing the real life impact we have had and are continuing to make on the next generation of health professionals and community leaders, I am in awe. I led a workshop with my colleague and friend, Erin Lee that has inspired a series of collaborations across perinatal health. And to put the cherry on top, I was able to share this experience with my husband Rangers Gonzalez and have him share his nursing journey 🥹

Afters months of hardwork and planning, this weekend came together better than we could have ever hoped. Shout out to my Director sisters at PRW, KARISA and Venus Ricks ❤️

All of this work would not be possible without the fearless, inspiring, passionate leadership of Dr. Sharee Livingston and Dr. Cherise Murphy ✨ I will forever be grateful to work alongside you both and continue pushing the needle forward in eliminating health disparities and diversifying the health field. Here’s to another 10 years of impact 🥂

I’ll be co-facilitating with my friend and colleague Erin Lee, owner of Erin Lee, for our workshop, “The Pelvic Floor & Nervous System Connection.”

This is a topic I’m really passionate about because there is SO much connection between the pelvic floor, nervous system, and how our experiences can impact our bodies throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. I’m excited to share our expertise, have some real conversations, and hopefully leave everyone with something they can take back into their work and the communities they serve.

Nothing beats the feeling of helping your little sister welcome her own bundle of joy! Beyond of proud of her! 🥹 Despite some curveballs, she pushed through and was able to have the unmedicated vaginal birth we prepared for. Happy birthday to Titi’s nene, Melo! You are so loved already🩵
