A little business update

August 1st marked **ONE YEAR** for The Healing Shift! And I realized something recently that I’m actually pretty proud of…

In over a year of business, I have had a grand total of **TWO no-shows.** That’s it. TWO.

I think that says a lot about the client base I’ve been fortunate enough to build. You guys show up, you rebook, you refer your friends and family, and most importantly—you trust me. I have so many clients who return consistently and faithfully, and I am incredibly grateful for that.

That being said, I do need to make a small update to my cancellation policy.

Currently, no-shows are charged 50% of the scheduled service. Going forward, **late cancellations will also be subject to a 50% cancellation fee.**

Now, before anyone panics 😂 — you all know me. I have a tremendous amount of understanding that **life happens.** Kids get sick. Work calls. Emergencies happen. Sometimes things are simply out of our control. Communication and consideration go a long way with me.

And I’m incredibly grateful that you all extend that same grace to **me.** I’m a full-time paramedic, a mama, and a human being with a life that occasionally throws me a curveball too. There are times when *I* may have an emergency and need to cancel or move an appointment, and you guys have always been incredibly understanding, especially when it comes to my plumbing saga!

It really comes down to respecting each other’s time.

I’m not adding this policy because I have a problem with my clients — **quite the opposite.** Two no-shows in more than a year is pretty freaking impressive.

I just want to make sure my policies grow along with my business.

✨ Big Update from The Healing Shift ✨

First, thank you.

Over the last couple of months, life has been a little chaotic with buying a house, moving, and trying to balance my family , EMS, and my massage practice. To everyone who has been patient, flexible, and shown me so much grace through it all… thank you. It truly means more than you know. ❤️

Now that we’re finally *mostly* settled into the new house, I’m ready to put my focus back where it belongs—growing The Healing Shift and taking care of all of you.

I’ve (once again 😅) made some changes to my schedule! Based on your feedback, I’ve opened up one late afternoon/evening schedule most weeks to help accommodate those of you who can’t make daytime appointments. I know many of you have been asking for later availability, and I’m excited to finally be able to offer it on a more regular schedule.

If you’ve been putting off booking because my schedule didn’t work for yours, now is a great time to take another look. 💚 This is also a good time to update the settings on the waitlist. A lot of the dates have passed and you have to go back in and reset the preferences.

Whether you need to get out of pain, recover from work, train harder, or simply take an hour to breathe, I’d love to see you.

Thank you for sticking with me through this season. I’m excited for what’s ahead, and I can’t wait to help you feel your best.

I interrupt your week for a special shoutout. I cannot remember which of my specific clients told me to take the kids to Fudpuckers in Destin. We went to Gator Beach today and it was so much fun! Our tour guide was excellent; we had a private "behind the scenes" experience. Definitely, a highlight of this trip!! I wish I could remember who recommended it. It's been a long month! Thank you for being patient with me while I take time with the kids to relax and rejuvenate!!

The kids and I made it safely to Florida after a loooooooong day of travel.

Looking forward to resting, rejuvenating, and taking some deep breaths of ocean air.
