Summer Safety - Heat & Hydration ๐๐ง Summer heat can be dangerous and hydration needs to be a priority.
๐ Kids' bodies heat up faster than adults' bodies. Build regular water breaks into every hour of play.
๐ฅHot Car Warning: Never leave a child or pet unattended in a car, even for a minute.
๐ฅHot Surface Warning: Test metal/plastic slides, swings, and playground equipment with your hand first to prevent burns.

Summer Safety -Sun Protection ๐ Outdoor fun during the summer is great, but be prepared and plan accordingly to avoid too much sun exposure.
๐Apply sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher 30 minutes BEFORE heading out.
๐Reapply sunscreen every 2 hours and immediately AFTER swimming.
๐Avoid peak hours - UV rays are strongest between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
๐Use wide-brimmed hats, sunglasses, and UV-blocking swim shirts.
๐Don't forget that dogs ๐ถ can get sunburned too - avoid taking them out during the strongest UV rays between 10 a.m.-4 p.m..
