Ever wonder what brows look like after they’ve aged a bit? The top photo shows these brows about a year after the initial session and this client had 2 touch ups. Everyone’s results vary. Some will fade out almost completely and others will have even more pigment after a year. This heavily depends on your skin type and lifestyle.

Bottom left picture is before any tattooing. Bottom right shows immediately after a yearly session.

What’s the difference between ombré and powder brows?

During your session I may ask you if you want your fronts faded or filled in. There is no right or wrong answer as long as you understand the difference.

Ombré brows have a fully saturated tail and gently fade out as they get closer to the beginning/front of the brow. If you have existing hair to begin with, this technique can give you a soft, natural look.

Powder brows are fully saturated from tail to front. There is no fading and they are the same tone throughout. This can give you more of a “filled in” makeup look. Many clients that do not have existing brow hair end up wanting this option.

Not sure which option is right for you? I can always convert an ombré brow into a powder brow. I can’t do the opposite. So if you’re on the fence I recommend starting with an ombré and we can fill them in at the second session if you change your mind.

Brows can make you look younger! This client started with ombré but we agreed that a solid powder brow was more appropriate. So we filled them in during her second session. This is always an option if you’re unsure of which look you want to go for.
