Karen’s Story - The Birth of Herbal Female Tonic

When I was 25 years old, I had a complete hysterectomy. I was told I had severe endometriosis and that the tumors had encompassed my uterus, tubes and both of my ovaries. This was a very young age to deal with the problems I would find out all too soon, and the major difficulties that immediately followed. They said complications from my type 1 Juvenile diabetes caused a lot of my problems. I had the surgery and woke up to complete full blown surgical onset menopause. I was never told what to expect, or what it was all going to mean later in my life. Or even at that time. When I awoke in the recovery room, I felt like someone had turned a blast furnace on inside of my body. There was no relief. After recovery, I knew something really different was going on (or NOT going on) inside of me. Necessary organs for many functions of life at that age were gone. I was injected with estrogens, progesterone and dangerous chemicals they called "Hormones." I left the hospital with prescriptions of tablets and patches. Nothing was ever the same. Within a couple of years, serious heart problems developed. I was put on heart medicine for a few years. In a short time I developed large tumors in my breast. I had 2 of the tumors removed. Side effects of the estrogen they said, but never considered taking me off the drugs that caused the side effects! I decided on my own that this was not for me. My instinct told me that this medicine could be the death of me. But…when I abruptly stopped the estrogen, the furnace turned back on, emotions was rampant and nothing was normal.
