A fade haircut is a cutting technique that tapers the hair so it eventually “fades” into the skin. This involves keeping it longer on top and gradually shaving closer down the sides and back. This type of fade can last anywhere from two to three weeks. Generally speaking, the shorter the fade, the more often you'll need to get it trimmed.

After your first highlight appointment, I will likely suggest that you come back every 8 to 12 weeks or so depending on your hair growth to get them redone. If you don't get them done regularly, it'll be really noticeable when you need a touch up! Keep your highlights looking salon fresh! 😏😘😘🙏🏼

How often should you maintain a fade?

If you want to keep that fade looking fresh, it does take a bit of maintenance. I advise to visit your barber every 2 to 3 weeks to get this cut. And if you are growing the top out or fancy having a bit of extra length to style but still want to be keeping the sides sharp – again every 2 to 3 weeks will keep it looking clean. 💪🏽🤨✌🏽
