Here is an old school forgotten, classic. The sissy squat was a very popular exercise that a lot of bodybuilders of the 90s love to do after hitting heavy squats. You can now replicate aspects of this exercise with a heel wedge, a sissy squat, bench, or even on a hack squat machine. But the old school way is holding a post with or without weight on you. Wanna blow your mind, try them out yourself. Incredibly challenging, very effective.

One of the first qualities to deteriorate as you get, older is elasticity and explosiveness. The good news is, you can drastically improve these qualities with just a little bit of exposure in your training sessions. Dynamic, warm-ups, plyometrics, throws, sprints, and jumps can all be utilized to improve the characteristics of connective tissue, fascia, and most importantly… Central nervous system development.
One of the coolest things about this type of “speed” Training is that your body is learning to trust its ability to be confident moving fast. You’re essentially teaching your computer how to remove governors that are telling you, that’s too fast.
How many reps can you get with 35 pound dumbbells?
Build some serious pipes with this awesome bicep finisher. Men, grab a set of 25 to 35 pound dumbbells, ladies, 10 to 15 pounds. Start doing smooth and continuous alternating Zottsman curls, turning the hands from palms up to palms down at the top. This variation works all heads of the bicep as well as grip and forearm strength. Try to pump out as many as you can continuously only resting while holding the weights at your sides.
This is some absolute gold from legendary strength coach Louie Simmons. If you have been stuck at the same weight in the bench for a while, building the triceps with exercises like the heavy tricep roll backs adds size, strength and improves the tendon thickness around the elbow so you can blast through plateaus.
